It’s that time of year: the weather is coolish-warmish? I don’t know about you guys but Texas weather is always temperamental. It makes dressing for any occasional super difficult. Hence – my new found love for dusters.
It’s kind of funny when I think about dusters, they’re everywhere! We wear them in the operating rooms (usually in a paper material form) to stay warm or protect ourselves, football players wear them in cold weather over their massive pads, and they double as cute and comfy robes. Clearly we’ve got a good thing going here.
Dusters are like glamorous jackets, they add an instant element of glamazon to any look. I found this pajama-esque duster and quickly fell in love, combining two trends into one look. The pajama trend I find particularly appealing – who doesn’t want to walk out of the house in pajamas that are socially acceptable? No people of Wal-Mart here! I’ve paired dusters with jeans, ripped cut-off shorts, and dresses. The end result is a look of polished elegance and I’m living for it!
I tend to be a cold-natured person, so I love having a lightweight duster around for the “just in case” situations. recently witnessed the power of throwing on a duster by accident. I also wore them here and here. They come in all shapes, sizes, patterns, and prints. I even saw a sheer one recently that seriously was one of the prettiest garments I’ve seen on a woman. Paired with jeans and a tee, it made the entire outfit 1000% amazing! What are your thoughts? Are dusters your thing? Solid or print? How about the pajama trend? Yay or nay?
