Who all has started school this week? Did you start school or maybe your kiddos or a loved one? Or perhaps you just love that fall is just tantalizingly close. This time of year always make me think of the movie You’ve got Mail (love, love that movie) when they’re talking about a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils to welcome the changing of the seasons. I just love that! Sometimes the weather changes and you can just feel like “click” from summer to fall – but here in Texas we don’t get much of that – so the start of school always feels like a fall welcoming. This girl is officially in full swing of semester numero dos of my doctorate journey, pinch me! While I like to work from home in my pj’s from time to time, I embrace living life in bold color! Today’s look comes to you in partnership with my dearest friends at Modcloth – the grooviest collection of modern and vintage feels.
Part of my style and my personality is being me and however that may manifest day to day, nothing cookie cutter. What I truly love about Modcloth is nothing within their line is remotely cookie cutter, as if! Each piece is unique, of quality tailoring, and uber friendly to mix and match – which is exactly what I did here! Office chic – they’ve got you covered. Vintage vixen – check! Sunday tea – all the yes! Another thing I believe in is fashion at every age and every size. Modclotch carries size XXS – 4XL – catering to women of all shapes and sizes! For reference – I’m wearing an XS in the top and skirt.
I’d like to take a moment to appreciate these adorable shoes – guys I felt like Minnie Mouse! Are they not the most adorable things you’ve ever seen?! I was initially worried they’d be super uncomfortable based on appearance – and immediately felt guilty for doubting a pair of gold glitter heels. Never again will I judge a book by its cover. I could have worn these all day! They were so snug and didn’t pinch whatsoever!
How do you like to celebrate the kickstart to fall? (and I may or may not have already ordered a new pumpkin coffee mug).
Thanks for stopping by!
