This was SO fun to paint! I was looking through my closet and realized this suit set I already had was PERFECT for a lady beetlejuice! :

Posing in my undies for @thirdlove was intimidating to a degree I can’t even explain. My eating disorders from the past still like to whisper in my ear and tell me means things. Age, therapy, and life have taught me to rise above those mean little voices but it’s different when the world is seeing your body and possibly all of the things you don’t like about it. :
:

Will they hate my thighs? Will they think I’m too soft? What about my arm fat? I hear these things reeling in my head and then I remind myself it’s a body of a STRONG, POWERFUL, INTELLIGENT, QUEEN of a woman who no longer places her VALUE in her body over her BEING. :
:

Looks come and go, our bodies are just part of walking through our path of life. But our BEING - who we are and how we choose to live our lives - that’s what people remember. That’s what matters above all. :
:

So keep that in mind when you’re confronted with the little mean voices that try to bring you down. Be the beautiful that matters - the beautiful that is uniquely YOU 💋 :

I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars 🌟 :

Whewww this one speaks to me in so many ways. Mainly I feel like this is what I focus on when my depression gets too overwhelming. :
:

I’ve said it many times that my depression is the well-known suffocating blanket that is easy to wrap up in because it’s familiar and hard to step away from - BUT it always gets too hot and ends up being supremely uncomfortable. :
:

As odd as it sounds though, my depression helps me see the light. It helps me see all the things in life that are meant living for. It helps me see the things in my life I’m blessed to have and to appreciate my privilege. It also helps me see the pain of others, and constantly endeavor to help them through their own darkness. :
:

I think we all have to wander through darkness to appreciate the awe of the heavens ✨ :
