Raise your hands if you’re a perfume hoarder (raising my hand). Like my personality, which seems to shift with the changing winds, I choose my spritzing of the day based on my mood, the weather, and where I’m heading. I also enjoy purchasing new scents when the seasons change – which brings me to the star of this post, the new Katy Perry’s INDI fragrance.
I’m a total Katy Perry fan girl – I feel like we’re kindred spirits. She’s a fierce feminist who embraces each and every aspect of herself, using it to shine brightly and inspire all her eager fans. Moreover, she lives BOLDY. You guys know I’m a girl who loves the hell out of a good wig or a pixie cut – if I could sing then I might be hitting her up for a twinkie debut. But alas – I’ll remain a fan girl nonetheless.
One of my most favorite highlights of this new fragrance line is the price – currently on sale at Walgreen’s for $24.99 yall. Who can remember spending a sometimes cringe-worthy amount on perfumes? I have! Not that the fragrance wasn’t lovely – but we’ve got an entire wardrobe and daily lives to think of providing for – not just shelling out for amiable smells.
I’m a bit of a tough critic when it comes to perfume scents – some of the just flat out offend the senses, while others seriously remind me of a gathering of elderly ladies squabbling over a game of bridge – both not pleasant for this 32 year old. I’m happy to report Katy Perry’s INDI fragrance smells (to me) like a tropical summer breeze. It’s kind of like the Amortentia brew in Harry Potter vol 6 that smells different to each beholder aka completely individualized!
If there’s one thing I equate with Katy Perry – it’s individuality and loving the hell out of it, hence the coined term INDI. We’re all beautifully unique in our own brilliant ways, I love celebrating standing OUT in a crowd! Together we embrace our individuality and from that, join forces to change the world. Learning to celebrate individuality creates an atmosphere electrified with change and acceptance. Isn’t that a beautiful thing?
Perhaps it’s the vanilla and amber mixed with musks that seems so summery to me, I love it!
Top Notes: White Tea, Oriental Plum, Italian Bergamot
Heart Notes: Fresh Muguet, Cyclamen, White Cedar Wood
Base Notes: Amber Sultan, Vanilla Tonka, Seductive Musks
I sincerely hope you find time to shop either in-store at your local Walgreens or online to try this unique fragrance! Available in perfume, mist, and a boxed set of perfume + Cover Girl mascara! What does INDI spark in you? How do you like to express YOUR individuality?
