Ah, holiday reds. How good you are.
It’s no secret how much I love red. It’s just so freakin’ festive and sassy! I caught sight of these enormous ruffles and said THAT’S MY CHRISTMAS DRESS! Doesn’t this just scream holiday party? It is after all December now. What?!
Yesterday I finished this semester of my DNP – and landed an A in biostats which was no small feat. The feeling of success when you’ve busted your ass (and had many meltdowns) is such a sweet emotion. Next semester is of course going to be even more difficult but I am very much looking forward to the challenge. I am even more so welcoming these next few weeks off – I can finally read something I’d like to read again!
I also started a new teaching gig with a local Dallas university yesterday. Papers signed, hands shaken — I’ll be overseeing capstone BSN students and teaching a skills lab, hello Med Surg! Going back to the basics of nursing and showing the hopeful nurses-to-be how to properly and safely care for patients gives me such joy! They have no idea what a vast world is ahead of them, especially in healthcare. The possibilities for their careers are endless, and I get to help show them that! How insanely cool is that?!
Who loves the Teddy coat trend this season? I bought this coat and I have to say – it’s reasonably priced AND feels like a slice of heaven. No really – I just want to cuddle with it, it’s so dang soft and feels like a cloud. It’s actually somewhat cold today in Dallas, you better believe I’m busting this baby out!
